Bitcoin Beach continues to make a meaningful impact in El Salvador through its community-driven initiatives, with the English Project in Chiltiupán standing out as a powerful example. This program, launched in the highland areas of the municipality, provides free English classes to children and youth who previously had limited access to such opportunities. By bringing education closer to home, Bitcoin Beach is empowering local communities and fostering personal and professional growth.
The initiative kicked off on July 16 with the Chiltiupán English Group, followed by the Corinto Youth English Group on August 13 and the Corinto Children’s English Group on September 14. Together, these programs have reached 64 participants: 19 in Chiltiupán, 20 in the Corinto Youth Group, and 25 in the Corinto Children’s Group.
For students like William Martínez, the classes have been life-changing. “Before, I had to travel to the city to learn English, but now I can study near my home. I feel more motivated because I know this will help me in my future,” he said. Carlos Rivera, another participant, added, “I never thought learning English could be so interesting. Now I feel like I can communicate with people from other countries, and that excites me a lot.”
Parents have also expressed their gratitude for the program. Carlos García shared, “These courses are a great benefit for our children. They’re giving them an opportunity we didn’t have when we were young.”
The English Project is funded through Bitcoin donations managed by Bitcoin Beach, with support from global donors inspired by the mission to empower local communities. This initiative aligns with Bitcoin Beach’s broader goal of fostering development and self-sufficiency through education and economic opportunities.
Looking ahead, Bitcoin Beach plans to expand the English Project to reach even more areas in need, while continuing to support current students on their educational journey. By providing essential tools like language education, this initiative is opening doors for personal and professional success, creating lasting change in Chiltiupán and beyond.
Through the English Project, Bitcoin Beach is proving once again that grassroots efforts powered by Bitcoin can transform communities and build brighter futures.
